fizz buzz and other simple practices
Tonight I went back to the basics and brushed up on the fizzbuzz quiz, did an odd and even number sorter, and a palindrome checker too. It was a nice reset to go back to things I learned months ago when I first started. After yesterdays inability to figure them out on my own, I was feeling disheartened on the progress I thought I had been making, but tonight I was able to get a little more confidence back.
I am planning to continue this similar approach to practice. Small, simple things that help me cement in the foundational principles of programming and slowly build from there. When I first started learning all this, I think I had the mindset that the faster I got through the course I'm doing, the sooner I would be ready to start looking for a job. Which obviously isn't the case, and I know better too. Getting through a course doesn't get me a job, knowing how to write code does.
It will be exciting to keep going and pushing my learning to greater heights, I just need to remember that rushing it wont get me anywhere.
